After Macao Education & Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ)’s approval of the TOEIC® Tests in its Continuing Education Program in Dec 2011, TOEIC Bridge™ and TFI (Test de Français International) have also been approved recently. Smart Education is the official representative of ETS, responsible for the TOEIC®, TOEIC Bridge™ and TFI Tests in the Hong Kong and Macau Region. Permanent citizens in Macau aged 15 or above, applying for the TOEIC®, TOEIC Bridge™ and TFI Tests, would be able to receive a maximum subsidy of $5,000 per person.
ETS, an industry leader in English-language assessment for over 60 years, designed TFI (Test de Français International™) as an international standard for French language assessment, is aimed at measuring French communication skills in the workplace for non-francophones. The test assesses candidates’ ability to understand, speak, read and write French in the international workplace. TFI is well recognized all over the world, international enterprises and organizations rely on TFI to recruit, promote and train employees. The TFI does not require test takers to have specialized knowledge or vocabulary as its content is based on actual examples of spoken and written French collected from around the world.
Smart Education has actively been promoting the TOEIC® Tests in Hong Kong and Macau. The number of applicants is rapidly increasing as more and more government institutions, non-profit organizations and firms have adopted TOEIC® Tests as an official English assessment since the end of 2011. TOEIC® Tests are becoming widely recognized in Hong Kong and Macau. Over 10,000 organizations in 120 countries rely on TOEIC® Tests to recruit, promote and train employees. In 2010, more than 6,000,000 TOEIC® Tests were administered, making the TOEIC® Tests the largest and most widely used English-language assessment worldwide.
