Smart Education, the Official TOEIC®, TOEFL® ITP & TOEFL® Junior™ Tests Representative in Hong Kong and Macao and the Official TOEFL® ITP Tests Representative in South China Region, was invited to participate in the Education & Careers Expo 2014 from Feb 13 to Feb 16 organized by HKTDC at Hall 3, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The expo gathered over 700 organizations from 20 different countries and districts. We shared useful information, such as the TOEIC® and TOEFL® tests and admissions information of City University of Macau, with students, job seekers and related parties.
A large number of students attended the Expo trying to find their ways out of the mist of dilemma especially the DSE candidates, some of them revealed that they were worried about the DSE and their own future. Apart from that, some junior high school students also attended the Expo, and indicated they would like to learn more from the Expo for their further studies earlier. However, they finally understood what they should do for their own future after we shared how TOEIC® and TOEFL® tests could equip them and enhance their competitiveness.
We also shared information with public and private organizations on how they could use the TOEIC® tests as an effective human resources management tool for recruitment, training and promotion.
More than 100 events were held during the Expo including career talks and workshops. Mr. Sam Leung, Sales and Marketing Executive – Global Assessments Division, from Smart Education held a seminar on Feb 16, in which Mr. Leung shared the advantages of TOEIC® and TOEFL® with the participants and how the tests can help DSE candidates succeed in their future studies.
Meanwhile, Smart Education worked with the City University of Macau to share information of admissions and application for Faculty of International Tourism and Management. Mr. Gary Kou, Administrative Officer from School of Continuing Studies, City University of Macau attended the Expo to communicate and interview students interested in apply for the school’s study programs.
