Smart Education was invited to the Hong Kong Institute of Education to conduct a career talk on how to prepare students to be “work-ready”.
Smart Education’s representative, Mr. Vincent Cheng, introduced the company’s background and areas of business to the students, providing detailed information for students who are interested in joining the company. Afterwards, Mr. Cheng shared job search and interview tips with the students. He said, “Preparing an excellent and a complete resume is the first step towards success. Students should not overlook any single detail, otherwise the opportunity would slip away easily.” Moreover, he explained the importance of language proficiency, communication and other 21st century skills. As Hong Kong is an international city, if job seekers possess excellent language skills, they would have a competitive advantage on their job search. Job seekers can also demonstrate that their English proficiency has met the international standards to their employers through obtaining the certificate of the internationally-recognized TOEIC® tests.
