Propell Teacher Workshop for the TOEFL® tests for English Language Teachers in Macao

IMG_6358Smart Education, the official ETS representative in Hong Kong & Macao, have the honor to have invited Ms. Annabelle Simpson, Director of ETS Global Institute and Channel Expansion-Latin America from Princeton, NJ to conduct the “Propell Teacher Workshop for the TOEFL® tests for English Language Teachers”.  The Workshop was successfully held in the Macau Educational and Youth Affairs, Pui Ching Middle School (Macau) and Lai King Assessment Centre, Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority on 22, 23 and 25 October respectively.

Propell Teacher Workshop for the TOEFL® tests for English Language Teachers

IMG_2064Led by an ETS-approved trainer in an interactive, hands-on classroom setting, the Propell® workshop is a one-day professional development program designed to help English-language teachers successfully teach students English as a second language.

TOEFL iBT ®test strategies

The workshop uses examples from all four sections of the TOEFL iBT® test: Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing. It provides instructional techniques and strategies for using the integrated-skills approach to teaching language and for preparing students for success.

Propell Workshop kit and certificate

Participants received a Propell workshop kit that will guide them through stimulating sessions on teaching techniques and activities and help them learn more about the benefits of the TOEFL tests. The workshop was also an opportunity to interact with peers and provide feedback to help us improve and develop assessments that meet their needs. Participants also received a Certificate upon completion of the workshop.
