Smart Education successfully hosted an in-person Education and Career Planning Workshop on Mar 20, providing a platform for students to explore various paths to reach their academic and professional goals besides HKDSE. In partnership with Canada eSchool (Canada) and Phoenix Academy (Australia), Smart Education is delivering an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) program and a Fast Track Foundation Program to students in Hong Kong, Macau and Southern China. 

The seminar was held at Hong Kong Cultural Center, joined by our partners from Smart Elite, Phoenix Academy, Columbia International College (CIC) and Canada eSchool to introduce and augment our information session.

The morning began with a thorough breakdown of overseas secondary and post-secondary options for students, and additionally featured a host of resources that engaged families with studying overseas, recommending suitable university programs, career counselling and live consultations with representatives Ms. Vicki Wong, Phoenix Academy’s Program Manager and Ms. Esther Yeung, the Vice Director of ISC. One-on-one interview training was provided for all attending students, whilst parents received advice and Q&A sessions from consultants, tailor-made for their students’ career goals, academic needs and personal interests.

Alongside the OSSD and Fast Track Foundation Programs, Smart Education will also deliver holistic support for students and families regarding application, course selection, credit transfer and Global English Assessments such as the TOEFL ITP and TOEIC tests in order to meet university and program admission requirements and to set up the students for academic success.

Canada eSchool’s OSSD Program specializes in delivering distance education programs for students globally. Suitable for all types of students, they are an Ontario Ministry of Education (MOE) approved institution and offer over 40 courses each year to choose from. The OSSD certification is a globally recognized secondary school diploma, and graduating students are additionally granted the same privileges as Canadian students when applying to Canadian universities. 

Phoenix Academy’s Fast Track Foundation is an intensive program designed to equip students with the necessary skills and credits in order to succeed in elite university courses. The Fast Track Foundation is partnered with top institutions such as The University of Western Australia, Curtin University, Murdoch University, Edith Cowan University, and CQ University for direct entry into their most competitive courses.
