The International Tertiary Education Expo in Dongguan 2023 concluded successfully on December 16, 2023, at the esteemed Affiliated School of JNU for Hong Kong and Macao students (Dongguan). Smart Education was invited to be one of the exhibitors in this prestigious event and to offer education consulting services to students and parents from Dongguan and the Greater Bay Area. Additionally, there was the opportunity to share valuable insights on how the TOEFL Primary, TOEFL Junior, and TOEFL ITP exams can assist students in building a strong foundation in English, preparing for secondary school and DSE, and thereby paving the path towards higher education.

The two-day expo, organized by the influential charity entity China Hong Kong Cultural Exchange Association, was held from December 15 to 16, 2023, and attracted over 1,000 attendees from Dongguan and the Greater Bay Area, who were eager to explore prospects for advancing their education abroad. 

The expo featured the participation of over 30 renowned global universities and professional institutions hailing from the Greater Bay Area, Singapore, Ireland, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Australia. In addition, educational figures and experts in DSE courses were invited to host several seminars aimed at equipping students, parents, and the general public in Dongguan and the Greater Bay Area with valuable knowledge on pursuing higher education in local and international tertiary institutions, as well as understanding the curriculum structure of the Hong Kong DSE.

During the exhibition, Smart Education’s booth showcased information about the TOEFL Family of Assessments, which attracted numerous English proficiency-driven students and concerned parents seeking guidance on their children's future educational endeavors. The TOEFL tests are globally recognized for providing students with English proficiency classification and comprehensive analysis reports. Under the representatives’ guidance, attendees had the opportunity to understand how TOEFL Primary and TOEFL Junior can help them establish a strong English foundation, thus enabling them to meet the demanding requirements of further studies. Furthermore, the use of TOEFL ITP for predicting the English subject score of DSE was introduced, catering specifically to students preparing for DSE courses. This comprehensive analysis approach allows both students and parents to proactively plan and excel in their DSE endeavors while making informed decisions about their educational journey in Hong Kong.
