HKDSE Course

The Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination, abbreviated as "HKDSE" or "DSE", is a public examination started by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority in 2012. It is the graduation exam for high school curriculum and can be regarded as the college entrance exam in Hong Kong.

According to the latest news from the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority, the DSE will be set up in mainland China as an "offshore examination" as early as 2024, and non-Hong Kong students in mainland China can also apply for the exam.

Advantages of HKDSE

International Recognition

Candidates can apply to local and overseas universities with their HKDSE results. HKDSE exam scores are recognized by as many as 290 higher education institutions worldwide, including popular study destinations such as the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, and Singapore, including world-renowned universities such as the University of Cambridge and Yale University. In addition, Hong Kong students can apply for the "Admission Scheme for Mainland Talents and Professionals" and be exempted from taking entrance exams for a total of 132 mainland universities based on their DSE results, including top institutions such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, and Fudan University.

International Exam that allows Chinese Responses

Except for English Language and English Literature, all subjects of the HKDSE can be answered in Chinese. It is the only international certification exam that allows Chinese responses, which is extremely advantageous for students whose mother tongue is Chinese.
