Bad Weather Arrangements during the Hong Kong Public Test

Red Rainstorm Warning
Traditionally, public examinations will proceed as planned in the event of a red rainstorm warning. In such circumstances, the TOEFL/TOEIC officials will not issue any further statements. However, should the exam be postponed due to inclement weather conditions, an official notification will generally be made on the TOEIC/TOEFL website approximately 2 hours before the designated commencement time. Test takers are advised to remain attentive to updates disseminated on the official web platform.

Signal No. 8 or Higher/Black Rainstorm Warning
In the occurrence of a Signal No. 8 or higher typhoon warning or a black rainstorm alert, all public examinations will be postponed. Typically, notification of the postponement will be announced approximately two hours before the original start time. It is imperative for test takers to vigilantly monitor the notices published on the TOEIC/TOEFL website.

Delay in Commencement
If the Hong Kong Observatory announces a red rainstorm warning and the examination proceeds as initially scheduled, the exam's start time will be delayed by 15 minutes.
